These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TimeBox app and website (“the Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who we are
TimeBox is an early-stage product currently in active development. These Terms are between you and TimeBox (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at time-box@emilykang.dev.
2. The Service
TimeBox is a tool that connects to your calendar (currently Google Calendar) and gives you version history, undo, and daily reflection features. You install and run TimeBox on your own device, and your calendar data is processed locally.
Because TimeBox is in early development, features may change, break, or be removed without notice. We'll do our best to communicate meaningful changes, but you should expect rough edges.
3. Your account and third-party services
To use TimeBox, you need a Google account and a Google Calendar. Your use of Google services is governed by Google's Terms of Service. You're responsible for keeping your own credentials secure and for any activity on your accounts.
You can disconnect TimeBox from your Google account at any time via your Google permissions page.
4. Your data
You own your calendar data. TimeBox stores a versioned copy of that data locally on your device so you can use the version-history features. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and how it's handled.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to violate any law or third party's rights.
- Attempt to disrupt, hack, reverse-engineer, or otherwise misuse the Service or related infrastructure.
- Use the Service to process calendar data you don't have the right to access.
- Resell or rebrand the Service in a way that implies official endorsement by us.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — whichever is greater.
You're responsible for backing up important calendar data. While TimeBox is designed to preserve history, you should not rely on it as your sole backup.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and disconnecting your Google account. We may suspend or end access to the Service (or specific features) if you breach these Terms or if we need to discontinue the Service.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product and our practices evolve. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. If the change is material, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the maintainers primarily operate, without regard to its conflict of law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
